The Wire
I dreamnt recently that I was in Baltimore, having coffee and cereal with Omar from the Wire.
Omar explained to me that The Wire could not be easily transfered from Baltimore to Philadelphia. He gave me two reasons and then I woke up.

1. Baltimore is smaller than Philadelphia, which increases the chances of realistically coincidental encounters. For instance, in the fourth season while on observation of a typical day in a Baltimore police car, mayoral candidate Carcetti, ran into and was uber-impressed by Lieutenant Daniels. Daniels is one of my favorite characters on The Wire, partly because it was revealed in season three that he is not just a skinny smart dude, but extremely sexy without a shirt.

2. Baltimore is further from New York. Philadelphia being so close to New York changes the drug trade in so many ways that Omar could not even begin to explain to me in the space of such a short dream.

Come back to my dreams Omar! Tell me more secrets about story and character from the greatest T.V. show I've ever seen.
